If you’re the kind of person who is looking to up their content game by blogging daily, or you work with a company that requires you to come up with regular blog posts, you may find yourself in a pickle. Every now and then, chances are you run into a bit of a creative block, especially if you have to come up with blog ideas on a regular basis. Here at Creometric, we know the struggle is real, so we’re going to share with you a few of our favourite tips on how to find topics for your blogs.
1. Look within yourself
Okay, we don’t mean that philosophically. What we do mean, is that you dig into your analytics, and find out which of your previous blog posts (over the last three to six months) have been popular, and use those as inspiration for your next one.
2. Use Twitter
Twitter is a great source of information, especially when it comes to finding out what’s trending. You can use the microblogging platform to find out the trending hashtags in your area or even country, and write a blog post using those hashtags as keywords.
3. Browse through forums
Scouring through online forums like Reddit and Quora is really helpful if you want to know what people online are talking about these days. You can pick up all kinds of interesting topics of conversation there. What’s more, when you’re done with your blog, you can drop a link to it in the relevant threads.
4. Google Trends and Search Console
Google has all the answers, literally. If you’re ever in a fix for blog ideas, then Google trends will tell you what people are searching for locally as well as internationally. Using this information, you can write some very relevant articles. In the same way, you can use Google’s Search Console to get some ideas. To know more about Search Console, check out this link.
5. Have technology help you
When all else fails, you always have the technology to help you. Blog idea aggregators and generators such as the ‘Blog Ideas Generator’ by Hubspot or even keyword generators like KeywordTool.io are really helpful when it comes to getting you out of a creative jam.
These are just a few of the ideas that help us come up with some pretty cool blog post ideas. What’s your favourite tip? Or do you have one that works for you? Let us know in the comments below.
